Today I ordered new throttle cables. The current "old" ones are probably okay, but if we are going to have the bike at its best they maybe need replacing.
Whilst I was at it, I ordered the little rubber bit that covers the clutch adjuster at the lever end too. What's another £6 when we are talking a full rebuild of the engine.
I buy a few bits every so often and box them in the garage so that when the whole bike gets to go to the restorers I will have a stock of bits as necessary.
It will no doubt need bigger stuff like a battery and tyres too, and even more likely, inner tubes. No tubeless tyres on the GT back in the 70's.
